I am Gene Coffey. I have been tattooing for 20 years and have worked all over the world. I work in a distinct style that is recognizable and unique. It can be called watercolor tattoo, graphic tattoo and abstract tattoo. Every tattoo is a custom design made for each individual client based on their requests and conversations we have regarding their vision for the tattoo. I learned to tattoo in Brooklyn NY and New York has been my home base for 20 years.
In pursuit of a mission I began exploring 10 years ago, I am now offering tattoo courses in the shop once a week. These classes are part of my goal of bringing tattooing into the modern era and allowing more people access to learning the art of tattooing without the gatekeeping associated with the traditional apprenticeship. I believe that the more people who are making art, the better the world becomes. The world is a better place with your art in it. Let’s make something together.
