I am having a solo show opening Friday February 8 at 7-9pm at Communitea in Long Island City.
A dozen new paintings I made specifically for this show will be on display.
Communitea is a very special gem in the area. As an ever increasing gentrification and transformation shutters art venues and pushes artists further and further out of the city Kafia, Communites's owner, provides a true community space to safely gather and feel welcomed. She curates beatiful shows to adorn the walls. Presents films. Hosts chamber music. And serves some really really yummy yum yums.
The series of paintings explore food, community, advertising and economics. I am very proud of this series and super excited to present it in such a great venue. All the paintings are between $200-$500. I want them to be affordable and accessible.
Please come by Friday Febuary 8 at 7-9pm to check it out.
